Tide simulator????

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a tide simulator???

I'm look for one you can use on a computer. I have seen clock versions but want a computer version. Something i can download. I have a weather program thats pretty good and wanted to know if there is similar software for tidal movements???

Thanks

Eddystone, check out http://www.wxtide32.com/

This is a free program and quite good at predicting tides. Note however, that the calculations are based solely on your position on the earth and the sun and moon positions (and some very complex calculations). Local tides will be affected by local landforms and other conditions that this program cannot take into account, so it may not be 100% accurate.

It is probably best to buy a local tide book or find a local site that has tides, as these are based on historical data as well as calculations and are location specific.

Cheers
James.

Beat me to it :-)
That WXTide32 one seems good, variety of views and can't beat the price.
