Jack spin rod

hey guys im after a spin rod for jacks gonna team it up with a steez 2500 or a 2011 caldia 2500. Was thinking a daiwa blacklabel 6 foot 8 or a steez kingbolt any ideas you guys have would be great. bit worried the steez king bolt might be to light.

I have a Loomis DSR 822, 6-12lb, 6'10. I have mine matched to a 2500 certate with 20lb castaway, well balanced and the rod has heaps of muscle mate, but still a very nice tip. I've had a kingbolt before, very nice but when ur jacking you don't really want the extra worry about breaking a Battler!

Try a St Croix Legend Tournament in all weights and line sizes around $240 plus postage of about $40. If you stretch more then the Legend Extreme ($380 - $400) or Legend Elite range ($320 - $340) would handle anything a jack can dish out. PM me for more details.

A big saving over the Daiwa and lifetime international warranty.

Macca it's a great rod for hb's & placcies mate, very similar rod to the DSR820but more power and a bit more in the tip.

I thought they were called green arrow?, but yeah a mate has the 6'8 spin and the 6'3 ML baitcast. I personally reckon they are too light for jackin but each to their own. Also they are very light in the hand, I had a 2000 luvias DA with rcs 2004 spool on the 6'8 and it was a perfect match balance wise (190gms), so a 2500 caldia may be a bit too heavy. They are nice rods for the $$$, just not sure about it as a jack rod.

Dobyns are nice!
awesome warranty too so you don't have to worry about pushing the rod.

that is a big price difference. One thing to remember with that though is you probably won't get the great warranty if bought overseas. Although you could probably privately insure the rod for the money you save from the price difference

I'd go a Loomis DSR 822 or the Black Label SSS Technical 6'8". If you're after a Loomis flick me a PM, I know a retailer who does them fairly cheap.
