Baitcaster care
Gday all,
Just wondering how others look after their baitcasters, especially after use in salt. At the moment I just use a dishbrush, dip it in water then use it to wipe the reel down, but I have a feeling it isnt cleaning the reel as effectivly as it should. Any other ideas would be much appreciated! Cheers

I just put mine under a lightly flowing tap for a few minutes. Air dry over night. Bit of oil where needed and a coat of silicone spray. Do that for all my reels actually. Even my high end gear is performing well with this treatment and looking the goods.

After you wipe down also pull the side plate off and remove the spool and let dry over night as the braid can hold a lot of salt water. otherwise you may find in time your spool bearings have rusted.
