Reel to match Samaki Vamp 6'10" Light Spin

Hi Guys,

Wondering what reel you guys would recommend to match a Samaki Vamp 6'10" (Vamp SV-6101SL) - was bought on impulse lol.

Thinkin of trying out a Rarenium in either 1000 or 2500 (depending on balance) or possibly a 2000 Daiwa size reel on the rod?

Any suggestions more than welcome.

Hi mate

I've had mine matched to a 1000 stradic (normal version) and a 1000 symettre. Both balanced well for my liking, the only difference was the symettre was spooled with fluro and thats why it stay's on that rod.

I have Rarenium Ci4 2500 reels on my medium light St Croix Bass Rods. Found the 1000 to be too light! Also the drag is far lighter than the 2500.

i swap mine with a 2004 caldia or a 2000 legalis. legalis cost me 140 and i cant fault it at all mate! bought it so i could use the vamp then thinking of selling it to a mate but i really like the reel now. my mate was a tad upset but ay haha. both reels balance great with the rod

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. I think I might have to go down to the local once I get the rod and try and balance it out. Will def look at a 2500 Rarenium, new FJ stradic but also look at the Caldia.

Speaking of which when does the new Caldia come in? Might be the Shot!

Think the silver beast would look quote nice with the dark black (not that looks mean anything lol)
