Question steez/exist?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I was just looking at the specs of daiwa's exist and steez reels, and much to my suprise I found that they were exactly the same, apart from the obvious cosmetic differences. Am I missing something?

Daiwa say that they are both machined with 'high accuracy' and imo the steez looks way better.

I was told exist hand built, individually serial numbered, steez mass produced.

Both are exactly the same except for the cosmetics and the lack of serial number on the Steez. The Exist comes in a range of sizes while the Steez is only available in 2004 and 2500/2508. The Exist isn't hand built, both are factory mass produced reels. Seems like Daiwa's marketing skills have really gotten to some, the Exist seems more exclusive, but it ain't.

My thoughts exactly. The price difference just isn't justifiable imo. I'd still happily own either of them though

Each Exist is individually constructed, serial numbered and is made with the highest quality materials available. Designed for the serious tournament angler, the Exist is sure to set the standard for the ultimate in spinning reel technology.

Except for the color and the spool taper they are exactly the same. The Steez is the USA release version of the Exist. The spool is tapered for fluro use where the exist is tapered for braid. I use both with braid and cannot tell the difference.
