i love my nitro's but the general consensus seems to be that the samurai's are just that bit better. having never used a samurai i cant compare the 2. also have a look at a g. loomis dsr8200 short handle(1-3kg 6'10) they seem popular

People keep starting these whats the best for this amount threads, when alot of what your choosing has a fair bit of personal preference involved. I believe it would be better to do a little research of you own and narrow it down to a few products you like. Then get advice on those products.
What I mean is you may get recommend something that isn't what you want, or not suitable for your situation and what you'll be using it for.
Go to the tackle shop and have a feel of what you buying, most tackle shops worth their salt will offer sound advice.
This isn't directed at anyone just a winge haha.

The best thing that has been posted on this site for ages.

There is one problem with asking things like this on internet forums. You cant feel a fishing rod and reel on them. Go to the tackle store, feel a certate on a few rods and buy what is comfortable.

thanks guys i get what you are saying but in my situation, i live roughly 300km inland and the rods in the area are very well average. the best i have seen is a sol rod but even then that was 40km away. so i ask these questions to find a new rod and then i do a bit of research on that rod then i generally have to buy online. so unlike many i have a reason for this. and also its easier to make a new thread customized to what you want rather than having to surf through hours of mostly usless and irralivent information when you can go directly to the point. this is also not aimed at anyone just stating my case and opinion.

now back on track i have done abit of research and i have the 101 reaction in my sight but i was wanting to see if there was anything that rivaled it.
