Shimano handle question

Gday all,

When winding my reel this morning I noticed the little part you hang onto that turns as you turn the handle (see pic) felt like it had sand or something along those lines in it (not sure how ).

How do I get this little part off so I can have a look and clean it??

There should be a little cap on the end that you can remove and then are able to remove the handle. Hope this works. Regards. HBt.
