Sol versus stradic CI4

so here is a chance for the daiwa faithfulls to have it out with the shimano lovers.
I was pretty keen for a stradic ci4 to match with my future lox yoshi 7225 but now I'm thinking maybe the Sol. I would go 2500 is the stradic or 2000 with the sol. just a all rounder plastics, hardbodies, spinnerbaits. fresh and salt use for species from bream to yellas to squire.
what do ya all reckon is the way to go?

Either, both have there ups and downs.

I like using both, just the Ci4 a tad more.

Sol would balance that rod much better than the ci4

My pick would be the sol. Smooth & reliable + the two spools come in very handy especially if you plan on targeting a wide range of species.

Ci4.
I have two 2500's and they are great for the price, I was a bit pissed at only getting one spool. But they are very light and comfortable to use.

I think I'd go for a 2000 Sol in preference to a Stradic Ci4 2500. In fact, I'd seriously consider one of the new Daiwa 2000 Freams (you can get them for $164) to go on a LOX Yoshi. A Shimano 2500 would look ridiculously big with the skinny, minimalist LOX butt set up.

Ha-ha yeah right, Had my Sol and CI4 for the same amount of time, both washed out after trips, etc and the Sol had 3 main problems. The roller bearing is gone(makes a horrible noise). It is really rough and the paint chips. The CI4 has been badly treated and is still like brand new. I hardly use my Sol anymore, the CI4 is tough!

Remember that a 2500 shimano is nowhere near as big as a 2500 daiwa !!! They are only marginally bigger than a 2000 daiwa. Even a 3000 size shimano would still be physically smaller than a 2500 daiwa. 2500 and 3000 shimano's share the same body, the 3000 just has a larger capaity spool.
