Was looking at the stradic, but it doesn't fit as well as the elf

The Symetre FJ is only $10 more then the ELF and would be a better option.

Thanks guys! Im just wondering if you're statements are based on experience or comparing specs?

The Symetre is a very robust reel also and you get flat line lay (which means better castbility) and no handle play unlike some other cheap Shimano's.
thanks mate. very helpfull.

I have a symetre as a back up to my stradic FI but more often than not I will reach for the symetre. It always 'feels' good to use and when we get down to it its about personal 'feel'. Not sure how it would match to a vamp but I use it on a DSR Loomis, a Raider and a Jewel. Good luck with your choice. Regards. HBt.
