Haven't used Fins or the Exceed a lot but just got some 5.5lb Exceed in crystal.
Personally I'd go with Stren Microfuse in 3-4lb or the new Berkley Nanofil in 4-6lb. |

i have fireline exceed and fins on a few reels. They're both good to be honest.
When you first spool up, the exceed is probably a little stiffer but softens up after a bit of use. Knots are probably a bit easier with fins but yeah, both are good. |

Both good lines, go the fins if you want extra strength or the exceed if you want texra casting distance.

I just spooled a reel with this and it feels beautiful, really glides through the guides!

I've got fins on all of my reels ranging in size from 4lb to 50lb and am yet to have a problem with the stuff. I'm not saying its the best, I'm sure there is thinner and stronger stuff available but I've never had any issues with it so thats why i've sticked with it.

I tried fins and did not like the stuff reminded me of a plumbers chalkline..
Id recomend going somewhere that sold a larger range of braided lines and looking at purchasing something alot better(japanese)it wont cost you much more and will probably save you money in the long run as you wont have to chop and change lines all the time searching for one that you can trust.I use Nitlon braid and nitlon leaders..but it will depend on what types of fishing you do so go have a chat to a trustworthy tackle supplier and see whats around. |

+3 for the Powerpro. I use 5 and 10lb and have found that it has been very forgiving given my limited experience. Tried PE but went back to the Powerpro. Good luck with your decision. So many line choices, experience and opinions to draw on. Regards. HBt.
