I've narrowed it down!
hi guys,
i know by now you might be sick of me asking the same question but this is the last. these are the three rods I have found to be the best for the price. just wondering which one you would choose if you had a spare 300 for rod and reel. 1. Berkley dropshot IM6 gen 3, 2-4kg, 7ft. $60 2. Pflueger trion 2-4kg, 7ft. $100 3.daiwa exceller same as the others. $89 Matched with a shimano stradic fi, or a daiwa legasis. If you have any other suggestions it would be much appreciated. thanks fisho fanatic3

Hey mate,
The trion would be the pick of the three. The grip sucks a bit because of where the thread is situated but the blank has a very good action for the money. besides the grip, I'm happy with mine. Match it with a 2500 Stradic Fi and you'll have your self a great value combo. |

I agree with MM - The Trion and the stradic would make a grate combo, although i would go with the 1000.

Trion with a 1000 stradic.
The entry level Daiwa rods feel very heavy. |
