Need help with a rod

Hi i'm new to the forums but a long time fisherman, i was just wondering what would be a good rod to cast around tiny lures i.e sx40's and 1/16th ounce jig heads, i have 2500 sized reel with 4lb stren microfuse braid, but a really cheap jarvis walker 20-30 dollar rod and i feel its not maximising the casting distance.
The only problem is i havnt got much to spend between 100-150.
I was thinking maybe the pflueger trion 1-3kg 1 piece, does anyone have any other reccomendations around that price?
I would really appreciate it.
Thank you

Shimano Raider Finesse Bream Spin 721 is a good choice as well.

+1 for the Raider. I have one and even though I have higher spec rods I always enjoy using it. It always feels comfortable to hold. I use 2500 reels with 5-10lb Power Pro. Regards.

Checkout one of my post in the Rod section.
I have titled it as $160 to spend on a rod.
If you are in Perth, checkout Anaconda, they have berkley dropshot Gen III + a reel for $99. Not sure it's all gone by now but good luck
Or you can pick up a second hand samaki zing for $100.

Good luck and have fun deciding...

Pflueger Trions, Berkley Dropshots, Shimano Raiders are all good choices in that price range. Pick them up and see which one you prefer. I personally would go the trion + i believe they are on sale this month at a certain store that sells boating, camping a fishing gear.

i dont like trions at all too floppy and the butt feels really weird.
i would go with the shimano raider 721, 1 piece, 1-4kg
OR
for a cheap rod that has lasted me years of fishing get a shimano sonic pro
7ft 2 piece 2-4kg in the older modle or then newer ones

The new sonic pro looks much better than the old one. In fact, a tackle store told me that it's much better overall than the SSS ver1. I find the old one the butt is a bit too short. But dont get me wrong, it is still a good rod. Have a feel and check it out.

I bought a Pflueger supreme a week ago, still in the depot, if not I can tell you how it performs. I have also been using cheapo Kmart rod for breaming for a while now

You are right shad, the black design and eva grip look so much stylish and sharp..haha
Yeah, i find the SSS ver 1 butt too short for my liking, especially when a strong/bigger fish took the line, the butt keep slipping from my hand/arm, hence not getting much support.
So, i have been using for squid...hahaha
