Bream blank recommendations

Hi guys,

Does any one have any recommendations for a good blank that I can build for throwing 1-3gram lures at bream, with a size 1000 - 2000 reel.
Will be used mainly around Melbourne CBD rivers and the docks.

I have previously built up a Samurai BR203 with all the good gear but it is a floppy piece of !@#$ compared to my Nitro Vapor 66, which is nice and "crispy".

I was thinking about one of the Elite MagSpin CTS blanks.

Has any one had any experience with one of these blanks or do you recommend something else?

Thanks.

I've built a few MHX blanks lately and I think they are great value.

They look like really sweet blanks, a guy on a US rod building forum recommended them to a mate of mine, If you do choose one let us know how the build goes. I'd live to build one up myself

The S842-2 is magic. Light tip, enough grunt in the butt, 2 piece for convenience.

Thanks for the replys so far.
I reckon the only to find a good blank is to seek the advice from other people who have used them as it is very difficult to, if possible at all, to see and feel them before you buy.
Interesting that MHX has come up a couple of times as these are very reasonably priced.

Yeah, they've recently released a new line of high modulus blanks and one they havent released yet is a HM-P842-MHX 1pce. As soon as it's released, I'm getting one....Can't wait....
