I had my 201 matched with a CI4 1000 when I first bought the rod and it was alright, I then strapped a caldia 2000 to it and it was very good, I then went to a certate 1500 which was bloody awesome and now I've got a Certate higear 2004 strapped on and what can I say, its great, but obviously I don't have an answer because I don't know myself. The CI4 would be the go imo but I have never used a Sol so don't have an opinion. I will be sticking with the higear now, until my Duff rod arrives

i should probably re prase my question
im after opinons on which reel will suit the rod better. not which reel is better! as i prefer the sol over the stradic. But in the shop the stradic probably felt better as it is slightly bigger in size (not weight) possibly more suited to the rod?

I've got a 2004 older model Certate on a 201. Fing brilliant setup.

I'd go a 2000 Sol out of your choices

I just got my caldia 2004 in the mail today to mate with my 203. Really nice reel and feels good on the rod. I also have a sol and a rarenium 2500. I tried the 2500 on it and it felt just as good. Obviously it comes down to personal choice. I went the 2004 because of the taper of the rod and felt the reel's drag would more than accomodate any bream I hope to encounter. Hope this helps. Cheers.

i dont understand what you guys are judging it on? i have a 2500 twinpower 2011 on my 201 and i think it is slihtly too light for the rod as the ballance point is just infront of the grip. and the 2500 is way heavier than any of the reels mentioned.
