Hands free sunscreen

Guys, I have been inspired.

Got a parcel delivered from Recfishwest today and inside was a hands free sunscreen and applicator. What a bl###y great idea. Why has it taken this long to happen.

Keep an eye out in the stores for this guys.

Warren, might be a good thing to get in as well.

They look the goods Bear It would match up well with my processed meat in a tube (think spam-paste) for a day of fishing on the boat so you can keep the hands for important lure changing

Hi guys

Bought a roll on repellent/sunblock 30+ SPF made by RID yesterday for around $5.00 for 90ml. (can't find the Woolies docket).
Haven't tried it yet but should work well with the sun and sandflies on Parra River.

I saw this a few weeks ago in a mag. The foam covers heaps more area than a rollon ball does. Find out who the agent is for me bear...

With the amount of time we spend in the sun guys, this should be a must purchase.

We should be using it any way, but for those who are concerned about the effect the scent has on fish, this should make a difference.

More info soon guys.

Just dip your fingers in the scent pot afterwards!

I can NOT go a day here in Qld with the way the sun is in summer - without good protection. I can burn pretty bad - and I've lived here all my life. WA would be the same I'd bet.

Guys, have you heard about the new type of sunscreen developed here in WA? Apparently zinc is the best material to make sunscreen from due to it's UV absorbing and reflecting properties. There is even evidence that normal chemical sunscreens (non-zinc) may not help fight cancer as much as was first thought. However, people don't like wearing zinc it because it's so thick.

Scientists have basically found a way to create a matrix that has evenly distributed zinc oxide molecules in it. That means that you can rub it in like normal sunscreen. The new technology is called zinclear. I've been trying a new sunscreen with zinclear on my face, and found that I can go for at least twice as long without reapplying. That's even better than a handsfree sunscreen like the one above. You only need to apply once before setting off and it will last you most of the day.

The product I bought that had zinclear was called Bare Zone 30+, but there are a raft of new products coming out with zinclear technology. Just look for the zinclear logo on the bottle. It cost about $12 for a small tube, but the results so far have been great.

And no, I don't work for any sunscreen companies

James.
