Rod for $400

Hey guys still confused about a good rod for around the $400 mark wanting either 2-4kg or preferably 1-3kg.
Thanks.

nitro vapor 1-3kg, i doubt you'll get a custom for that money, also depends on usage mate. the length requirements for a flats rod is different than the requirements for say snag bashing,

theres alot more than 3 rod builders out there, I think (don't quote me) mick rantall does them for 300 mark and they'd be decent rods for sure

Probably priced for a different market segment, using cheaper blanks and possibly cheaper components.

if you want the best of the best in terms of components then you can make it as expensive as you want, but you can get an absolute sick stick for 400 bucks no doubt. Just gotta communicate and shop around and see what you want.
Now that I am getting into building custom rods I would just build one for 400 bucks!

But for the purpose of this thread, check out graphiteleader vigores mate, might be exactly what your after

Ross quoted me before he could build a light 2pc BC bass rod for me from $300 to $500up. Depends on components, but I can assure at the $300ish a factory rod would definitely beat a custom one.

Building it yourself maybe possible but it is different story (The rod builders have to earn money!!! ) Usually, the blank and components costs would already be as high as buying a factory rod. (Considering a full set of Ti frame SiC guides would already cost u $100ish while a Daiwa Emer ST86M with the same guides is just $300ish at the moment.)
