Dropshotting

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where i can buy sinker for dropshotting?
I'm more after the longer, cylindrical type that are probably a bit more snag resistant. I tried a few online stores but couldn't really find what i was after.

Not sure of the name but they're the finesse style pictured here

Mojo lures make a drop shot kit or you can buy single sized weight packs too.

There are no rules when it comes to sinkers in dropshotting. As long as you know the weight of the sinkers and the interaction with the cast and line, these are the requirements.

There are "dropshotting" sinkers that you can purchase, like on ebay, but it is not a necessity.

Bait Breath have dropshot tungsten sinkers and also tungsten interline sinkers if enough demand we'll bring them in

G'day Guys,

Longtime lurker, first time poster. Everything gets covered pretty quick here but I finally found something I can add.

When dropshotting, rather than using a special sinker, I just use a couple of split shot crimped onto the line and a knot tied in the end of the line to stop them slipping off the line. You can then simply add or remove larger or smaller split shot as needed and if they get snagged they will simply pull over the knot tied in the line with out the need to retie anything. I hope that makes sense as it's much cheaper and easier IMO.

tops idea. better than popping the leader.
