Stradic FI or Stradic Ci4?

Hello everyone.
Just wondering if it is worth paying the extra $100 odd to get a Ci4.
Do you think the Ci4s are that much better?
Thanks

they're lighter, FI are great reels but some people find they're way to heavy

Go the ci4, got 2 at the moment and planning for no.3. I just found them a better reel then the normal stradic although i do admit i havent played with the FI as much.

Extra spool vs. much lighter. Put both on the rod you are going to use and go with what feels better for you.

put both on the rod and see which feels better. ive tried reels that are 5-10 grams different and felt like a totally different combo. sounds weird but "feel" is one of those things that are highly personal and i doubt that any 2 people are the same. goodluck mate im sure both reels will give you a good working life either way. cheers YD

Hi mate

I own both and would probaly lean towards the stradic fi, these things are bullet proof. My ci4 is a bit noisy, a bit loose and the anti reverse is starting to fail (I did get this 2nd hand, but I think most of the problem was caused by the "tech" who serviced it). Heaps of ci4 are on the 2nd hand market, i wonder why??

Both great

My brother has the fi and I have the ci4 the only difference in my opinion is their weight.
Both reels are ultra smooth and a great buy.

Lots of people say the ci4s are awesome though.
I am also thinking of a SOL 2000.

Go the sol mate i dont want to start a fight but i feel they are much better reel and structurally they are a lot stronger.

Another one for the Sol. Im generally a shimano man, but when I had the choice between the Sol and Ci4, the Sol won hands down. Feels far more solid and strong than the Ci4 (hard to explain). And after abusing my Sol since last september it hasnt been serviced once (washed after each saltwater session though) and it hasnt missed a beat. These things are bulletproof I am eyeing off a Twinpower though...

Go SOL

I had Stradic FI in 2500 size. Sold it after one session. So heavy and harder to move comparing to Daiwa reels, no joke!

No comparison to SOLs
