Size 2, 1/60 & 1/40 Hidden weight jigheads just seem to fit perfect on the 2.5" mikis. Mind you i havnt actually fished them yet...

i haven't fished them yet but by the looks of them you'd want to tget them sinking as often as possible throughout the retrieve to get all those bits and pieces flapping around everywhere.

1/28th hidden weight TT's for in and around jetties, or water <1.5m deep.

1.5gm round Squidgy jigheads for most other situations (rocks bars, snags etc..) - sorry can't remember the hook size off the top of my head. From memory they're a size 4 hook.

I like using them around boat hulls and leases on a 1/40 TT hidden weight give em plenty of hang time. But a 1/28 does fit them a little easier.

Try them both. The 4.5" are really bulky and you'll need some weight to take them down into a strike zone. Flatties, for sure, even pinkys or trevs.
What colours did you ordered?

I prefer 2.5" myself. Great plastic and catches fish Yeah, hidden weight (TTs) and round jigheads (mainly squidgy's) would do the trick.

Cheers,

the squidgy jighead has a slim keeper and stops the thin profile of the miki from tearing, same as rigging a squidgy critter from my experiences.

Spot on And they're super sharp and sink very naturally

Haven't lost a fish yet to a bent jighead...Also had a mulloway on for over an hour on one and the only reason I lost him was he went through a snag, but the hook held up fine.
