hey guys been offered a Shimano Stradic 1000 FI Wondering what your reviews of the reel are. Tah.

I reckon it's the best value for money in it's class...I have two of them.

what lb line and wat brand line do you run with them also what rods are a good match with them

Mate, go to your tackleshop and have a feel of everything for yourself. And you always must have a set budget. Stradics are extremely good value for money, some might say that they are a little heavy, but they are rock solid reels.

only problem daiwa freak is that i live in a town where trout is the main fish and the only shop is tackleworld who mainly stock shimano so i cant really get a feel for those other brands

you will be fine with a stradic, infact if there was one was one reel to last you forever its a stradic
