depends on your price range spen s as much money as you can justify, but ant shimano in the $150-200 range are good, stradic FI are great reels but I love my symetre, if you can aford to fork out any more cash than a sustain or something would be great

Depends on what your willing to spend, I have used and can recommend stradic, both ci4 and fi and the symettre. Great little reels for the $$$.

Shakespeare Deceiver DCV1025X.

I have personally put this reel through hell and it loves it !

Still as smooth as the day i bought and a great Drag System.

http://www.breammaster.com/forum/sho...light=deceiver

Have caught stonkers aplenty with this reel.

Regular maintenance not required.

Agreed, if you can sfford this you can get a 2506 and buy a spare 2500 spool and you have a reel with a huge scope that weighs 195gms with line, that you'll treasure for life. But it is freakin exy

anyhow +1 for the Symeter for a entry range to long term investment!

My Shimano Saros 1000 has been faithfully working since 2008 & has caught more than its fair share of fish compared to other reels that I have...
