Gulp worms

Read some old threads but thought I'd ask for myself as well.

I wanna catch some bream on Gulp worms. I have caught a few yellowfin whiting using a bloodworm hook with a stinger in the tail. Thread a half 6" worm up the hook. Would this work the same for Bream? Anyone use jighead rigs with no stinger? What about short takes? What areas do you target with this, shallow flats or deep snags?

Cheers

i posted this on a jigging technique thread but it kinda still goes.

method 1. i like to start with a big full gulp sandworm on a 1/0 hook with the right weight, as soon as it hits the water strip your rod tip from side to side attempting to make that long tail shake about on the drop. then, on the bottom i would give it a small pull and let sit, repeat a couple times and try to shake that tail again any bites and i'll sit it there and shake sometimes when you cant hook em i shorten my worm an inch or so.

method 2. if the first attempt failed cut it right back to a 2 inch worm, a 1/32 or 1/16th weight, hook 2 jighead (pigs jigs of course ) put that down to the bottom and give it a small jig, then a couple more jigs before it hits the bottom again. but giving it a different action when things aren't going your way helps alot.
