Wharf and marina bream

I been having a go fishing around some marinas, and off a few wharfs. I can see dozens of great sized bream feeding down on the pylons but nothing i throw at them seems to hook them. I have tried using various soft plastics including, gulp worms, squidgy lobbys, wrigglers and various minnows.( All of which tried in different colour of each. Annoyed at losing that many lures to small fish just wasting my time every time. I have also tried a few different blades throwing them in close to the pylons but have only caught tiny tiny tiny little pinkies. Any advice and help you can provide is as always much appreciated forum members.

Cheers Southie Fisher

Marina bream are notoriously cunning so try everything you have. also make sure your leader is light (3 or 4lb flouro) and use jig heads that are fairly light (1/16th if bream are on the bottom and 1/32 or lighter if they are near the surface). thats about all you can do really and if your still not catching them i don't know what you could do.
cheers

Depending on deep the water is, maybe try casting surface lures towards the edges of the marinas (near the back of pontoons or the beaches)

Probaly a better bet would be trying crank baits around the hulls, and plastics, maybe a gulp shrimp, squidgee wriggler or a gulp minnow? As the others have said, lightly weighted, or even unweighted for fish near the surface and a bit heavier for deeper set fish.
Aim your plastics in the shade and search for hulls/wharfes with lots of marine growth on them.

Let us know how you go.
