Freshwater natives... My type of tank.

I don't keep fish any more (will again though) but worked in a good aquarium store for 4-5years when at uni.

Here's some of my favourites for that type of tank.

Archer fish. They will eat artificial food but will also readily take flies, crickets, etc. If you dangle them over the tank, they spit water up and shoot them down. Awesome to watch

Mudskippers. Can be hand fed and frozen bloodworms, etc make it pretty easy to feed. The only problem is they need some air and land space as well as a very tight lid (which also stops the archer fish from wetting your house)

I once had a fish called a 'Tupong' and it was one of the most interesting fish I've kept. It acts and looks a bit like a flathead, burying itself under the gravel waiting to ambush.

They would be some of the more interesting fish... Rainbowfish would be good to populate it a bit as well.

Hope this helps mate, enjoy!
