Question vanish and smoke

a while ago a mate was saying that if you want to fish for bream, use berkley fireline smoke. great stuff but whats the difference between smoke and vanish??? which is better as with the vanish you cant see it underwater?

WEll fireline is visible to Fish very visible so u put a leader on it about a rods length and u can use Vanish as ur leader cos thats what i do.
i have 4lb Flame fireline and 6lb Vanish leader.

First up, Fireline is a fused superline, Vanish is a (semi ) Flourocarbon monofilament - massive difference..

Do a search of these forums for 'Fireline' and 'Leader' and you will have enough info to keep you going for a month
