Shimano Stradic 2500F ci4
thinking of getting one of these reels or possibly a 2000 luvi DA, but i am leaning more towards a ci4.
mainly because the c14 is cheaper and i can buy it locally. and also wat line should i put on the reel? ive felt a c14 before and are very solid and smooth, but i havent felt a luvi before. cheers, BTF |

I have one of each,both in 2500.
I reckon the Luvias is smother and feels more solid but the CI4 is just so light it's incredible. In saying that the CI4 is still very smooth. The drag on both are fantastic,In fact I reckon they are as smooth as the new certate. |

I run 4lb shooter flouro on mine for crankbaiting and its very nice. Just got to get two more- one for 3lb flouro the other for my squid rod with the berkley squid braid on it. The ci4's are great reels

I've got a couple of Stradic CI4's, they're light and have a nice smooth drag. They lay the line on sweet as and in the 2500 size have a reasonable spool diametre for longer casts. For the features, these reels are really well priced.
