Depending on how shallow you want to go, you can always hi-stick your rod to make the lure run shallower! it can be a great way to catch fish with the greater action on the deep chubby...

Deep chubbys go about 6 foot but thats off my electric sounder so maybe a little less. Obviously thats when your not high sticking

Those two top ones are schmik!!!! I never use chubbies ever, sware
You can feel the action better with the chubbies over the atomics, I like this, but I find myself going back to the atomics sometimes.
