platypus super- 100 as leader knot strength

Has anyone had trouble with the leader knot strength of platypus super-100 it keeps on snaping at the leader knot and is starting to piss me off but the knot strength at the jighead/hardbodie is fine. the leader knot I'm tying is a kaneit knot and i'm not keen on albrights is there any other knots which might help?.

if your having problems with your leader knot snapping, doesnt matter what knot you are using, do more wraps of the braid around the flouro. the knot is breaking because the braid is slipping when you are trying to snap off your terminal knot. if you are doing 6 wraps of the braid, try 8 then 10 etc untill it is strong enough, this will not increase the size of your knot at all and will solve your problems.

thanks for the replys but i think it's a dud because i did the some knot in 6lb line and it was harder to break then the 8lb platypus.

Kaneit is easier to tie and is very strong.

Also, in the albright the leader tag end is facing forward unless it's cut very short (which I don't like). I prefer to leave a couple of mil of the leader tag end.

I had few albright failures on the cast when used it and stopped using it.

Another good alternative to kaneit is a slim beauty but it takes a little longer to tie.
Cheers

I like the kaneit and slim beauty for 20kg leader and 10kg braid but lighter stuff I always use the double uni, super 100 and fireline. I usually tie the mono first then the doubled fireline, without a double most times the leader will let go first in my experience unless your leader lighter than the braid
