Mako Craft

Hello Folks,
I'm doing some hull research and wanted to look at the Mako Craft at www.makocraft.com.au but the website appears to be down.

Is the factory actually still going?

Does anyone have a location for it, contact details etc?

Thanks,
Geoff

I noticed the same it was up a few days ago. Hopefully they are updating the site, some of the details seemed a little old.

Maybe they just haven't paid a bill.

I was talking to alf yesterday. Company is still going but they have moved location. Little wisper I heard it's now "makocraft" not "mako craft". Something must be happening. Maybe there is a website update because of the change.

I think it was makocraft pty ltd

and is now something like

makocraft aust pty ltd

Spoke to Tim Stessel today too... seemed flat out, he mentioned he was 2 boat builders down and he is having to build plate boats himself...

it is a little worrying, he said there were too many boat orders... so that side of things is okay...

I know the dealer here in adelaide was screaming for boats for a while, has two or three now....

Reports on this site are definately doing his business some good. Can't beat word of mount (or type of keyboard) to spread the good word.

I would believe that, I have one on order that is going to be running around 4 weeks late. (personal boat) I just hope its here in time for christmas. What have you gotten up to Shauno? If your speaking to Tim it means one of two things..Either your getting a new transom in your frenzy so you can hit MACH III or your getting a new boat.

I might not tell you untill my boat is finished. Your probably better off going through one of their dealers. I will PM you the number but as shauno said they are pretty flat out.. There are a few near new Makocrafts on the market at the moment all kitted out with next to no hours on them. Have you had a look at any of those??Its a good way to save a few dollars.

Fair enough on not telling until yours is complete.

I'd love to go through one of their dealers for a chat, a quote and maybe a test ride but with the website gaaawwn it makes finding one a challenge.

That's the major reason I'd like to contact the manufacturer to find out where a dealer resides and where their website has disappeared to.

I just had a bit of a poke around looking for secondhand Mako Craft. You're right, there are a few about. It's just a matter of finding one with the options that suit me.

Thanks,
Geoff

Fair enough.

I'm not ready to order anything for at least a month. I'm back in the game at the moment getting quotes and gathering information.

Thanks again,
Geoff

a trivial one... Stickers of all things, chasing the stickers I never had put onto the boat... Alf is looking after them for me!
