new boat help

Hey fishos, i need some advice and any is appreciated.

i bought a new boat but the deal has gone sour due to the time frame. so now im looking again. always had tinny bream boats now i noticed a skeeter x17 and it looks a treat. its an 2007 with a 100hp yamy 4 stroke with under 20 hours 70lb minn kota, hookless carpet, 2 sounders and all the usual skeeter gear. just wondering what you guys think its worth...... i know its like asking how longs a piece of string...... guy is asking $30k for it.

any help would be appreciated.

thx

Well there is this one for sale here on the site
http://www.breammaster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33621
It is an unwanted prize so it is going a bit cheaper than the new price but it is a brand new boat with more horsepower than the one you are looking at, so I would have thought that a 3 year old boat might not be worth $30k. It does have very low hours but it would want to be absolutely immaculate to be worth that sort of money.
Just my opinion.

Cheers, Dror

If the one you are looking at is an import you will want to find all the details on motor warranties etc. You don't want to pay big money for a boat and then find out you are on your own if something goes wrong. I'm not sure what sort of warranty Yamaha have, it may have expired if it is only 3 years.
Also if it has the original US trailer I wouldn't expect it to last too long. They normally just have a coat of paint.

If your looking at spending that much then I really think you should check out the brand spanking new skeeter we have for sale in the classifieds. It has the Merc Pro XS 115hp which should push it along a fair bit quicker than the 115hp etec also.
