Nelson

gday goin on a holiday soon to nelson and just wondering if anyone got any advice on fishing the area whether a boat would make a great advantage. any ifo will be greatly appreciated.

A boat will make a huge difference.I have fished the for the last 7 or so years but from what i can remember the river is very limited to some landbased locations.I may be wrong someone will correct me if i am

My 2nd cuz is fishing that river right now.
Reckons the boat sheds are the go and most snag stretches along that river.
Im from w.a so thats pretty much the best help i can give you

If you have a boat.. take it. You can fish the boat sheds and the Main Landings, but there is another 30km of fishable water in a boat.

If you dont have a boat, hire a boat from Chris Carson at the Nelson Boat hire. He will offer a wealth of information, as to will Deano at the Kiosk ( Plus a top Hamburger) and Neil at the Pub ( The best Beer in town).

Phil and Jill at the Roadhouse have a great stock of lures, information,fuel, drinks and food... you name it

In summary Nelson Offers everything an angler needs.......

i got a boat but i dunno about mooring it because the old man wont bget out of bed early to load it everyday. do the hire boats come with electrics??

Send Nextcast (BM member)a pm,he does charters out of there and his bream boat is fully decked,hang on to your hat though ,it motors.

Yeah but is it in survey and is he a licenced Skipper? My mail is neither and Marine board are on to it.
