Deffinatly try and keep it off your line, and I tend to avoid spraying inside the drag knob, short of that everywhere else a bit of inox is good for it. I pull my reels apart and spray then every couple of saltwater trips. Hope that helps.

I have been reliably informed that INOX is food grade so can not do any damage......

I use it no Dramas

Used to sell it for years....great product.

Try it on your dash and wheels and trims on your car....better than Armour-All !!

Talking

I did get told by my outboard mechanic that its not good to spray it on my yammy under the cowling. ... He was saying that it clogs up cast metal and wont let the heat disipate from the engine..So if you have a reel that has been forged of cast and you work the thing so damn hard that it heats up (4000RPM), then you might want to research this further.. What do yas think about that..

I agree it stuffed up some of the spark plug covers on mine.......dont know how it did but a few different mechanics told me not to use inox under the cowling since i've stopped no problems

Some plastics and rubbers can be a bit sensitive to Inox and it's fellow product Lanox is a better choice.

Be wary spraying inside the body as both will make the grease more fluid and easier to spin off the gears.

Probably best used on the outside only and the excess wiped away with a soft cloth.

i keep the lanolin stuff away from my reels, just rinse thoroughly every trip and get them serviced when required.

about the inox under the cowling, my honda mechanic told me to give a liberal spray of lanox everywhere under the coweling except up into the carby area, have been doing this lately without problems but i guess i have not been using the boat much. anyone have further info on this?

cheers
Dan
