Converting a rod to a split butt.

I've got a rod I really like a Daiwa Procastor Z which I'd like to convert into a split but cause the cork butt it has now is just to short.(or even extend the butt).
Is it possible and any ideas who can do the job for me around the south east area Melb.
Bob who used to work at New world Honda did all my work for me but he's gone now.

Do you think a this will alter the rods feel and balance as the rod doesn't have the greatest balance but it does have a awesome action.
