Certate 2500R Fuego Custom

Does anybody know much about these reels? Are they limited models and can anyone provide photos of the actual reel?

Cheers,

If your talking about the red certate from what I can remember

They are a freshwater certate I think
You could buy them as a body and add the spool and the handle and knob to what you want.

But I could be wrong

I think the one where you buy the body only is the I'ZE custom 2500 or something. Then there was the 2500R fuego custom i THINK. Really keen to see some pics, I'm really interested in this reel.

Smokin Drags is right.

Memory is sketchy but i think they are a Freshwater reel, all you got was the body and had to supply everything else (spool, handle, knob). They come up on Ebay every now and then for $600+, very sexy reel.

They are just a 2500R Certate painted red. Full stop. Machined handle, 2500 spool and rotor, 3000 body/gearbox. Red with silver and gold higlights.

I have one, and it's an awesome reel.
The body kit is available for sale still, but the complete reel is a little harder to find nowadays.

If you don't mind, could you please post up some pics? Were the fuego customs limited edition or something? Never seen one in the shops and can hardly find any info on them on the internet. Were they available in Australia, USA or Japan?

They were somewhat of a limited production. Campbell's had a few, and there were a couple in the Japan online stores. I scored mine at Big Snake: they always seem keen to grab a few out of the ordinary things that they end up being unable to sell.

Was a pricey little number too, close on 800 at first, then around the 650 mark. If you can track one down they'd be around the 500 mark in decent nick. Will put up a pic of mine as soon as I can get my camera sorted.

No worries, just wanted to make sure they existed. I picked one off ebay for pretty cheap, the seller didn't provide photos, so I was a little suspicious, and apparently it had never been used, only stored in a cabinet for a few years. But thankfully, I recieved it in the mail today Very happy with it, can't wait to test it out on some snapper this sunday.

The one I picked up is the 2500R Fuego Custom. The other one is 2500 body only, something like this one:

Exist steez spool and breaden handle mmmm....

I am pretty sure both are fully SW safe. There is a FW certate though, the Vintage Custom model, it has a bare aluminium body, dunno if it has CRBB's though.

That's the one. Mine's the same. Also added a Powerlight (M) Knob, and it's SWEET AS!! Been giving the barra at work a real hard time with it and its new mate the Big Red Shikari.
