Which is the Fastest Waterproof Camera?

One of my biggest gripes with Compacts is the shutter lag. Does anyone know which of the Waterproof variety has the quickest lag?

I have nothing to compare it to but my Pentax Optio W80 is pretty quick, not SLR quick though. As long as you pre-auto-focus? it is virtually instant.

Thanks for Correcting me Hazell the Pre-auto focus is probably the biggest delay in compacts. So looking for the quickest in Pre focus and shutter lag.

OK no worries, there is probably a quicker one than the Optio then but it isn't too bad. I have had a camera in the past that was about 2 seconds total. Completely pointless on moving objects!

Alex, you may consider to expand your search to P%S cameras that can be used in waterproof cases. Just a thought.

Cheers,
Alex

Add my vote to the Pentax W series. I've got 2 as the Mrs took mine and thinking about an upgrade so the little man can have mine. Great camera for the $$$.

Hi guys, any leakage problems with the W80? How's the macro also?
I used to have an 8mp entry level fujifilm finepix which took great macros, but I unfortunately smashed it.
I just went and ordered a finepix XP10, which is waterproof.. I got it assuming it would take great pics, but upon reading reviews (after purchasing (stupid, I know)) it seems the camera has alot of leakage and pic quality issues.
Time will tell I suppose, but just wondering if you guys have had any issues with the W80 so I have an option if the XP10 turns out to be shi+
