i would only put half aside for a bream outfit, say a sol or kix and a cheaper loomis $700 roughly. imo at your aged i wouldnt go and spend so much money on a rod and reel, but your choice buddy dont let me change your mind

1000 Stradic Ci4 and 2-4kg pro tactic (if you can find one)... Ohhhh baby.

You would be MAD to spend more than $600 on an outfit for bream... $1500 is half way to a reliable car! (which you're not far off)

Yeah dude like has been said before dont spend to much. Like me your not far of getting your L's so i would keep money for a car or more lures. ( Car = More fishing )

A SOL or Stradic ci4 with a rod around $300-400 you cant go wrong. Catches the same amount of fish as a $1000 + outfit would.

If I was you I would grab one of either the Kirisames or Glx dsr's Trout Bum has up for sale and match it with a 2000/2500 luvias depending on what you would prefer and then bank the rest for a car.

Would have a killer set up that will perform as good as any and have cash away for a car or tinnie later down the track when you need it...

ur still a young kid. Don't spend bulk money on fishing gear. More essential things you will be needing to spend money on

I say spend it, youre still young and working.
As Matt says the rods TB has up are about as good as they get and couple it with a Exist or Steez. (Note Kirasame is slightly tip heavy with and exist 2506.
Spend the rest on Lures.)
Its fun to reward yourself once in a while.

I agree with Alex. Reward your hard work. I know you love ishing so buy something that makes you smile even when it is sitting in your room. Swing by the guys in FishHead and talk to them about what you want to spend. They may be able to come up with some options that are totally out of the box.

Congrats on saving all that dosh mate. Can't wait to see pictures of what you finally choose.

hi mate,

as said, trout bum has a few very nice rods there! not brand new but who cares when they are in great nic and will be fished with anyway?
if i didnt have those kirisames already i would have thought about snapping them both up!
match that to an exist/steez or stella and you should have one top shelf combo that you'd love to cast with day in day out.
as with saving... well that is a good thing too! i am sure you will make a decission that you wont regret!
