What to take on my next trip???

As some may know, just around the corner is the AFTA trade show. Now my most pressing concern is...

What gear do I need to take up with my for the few day I will be hanging around the Gold Coast??? I have one full morning and need to know what rods will suit the fish that live in town.

I will be staying on the canals and will be able to fish them but also will probably be able to head out to some reefy bits in a boat at some stage.

If you had all the rods lined up in your garage (not saying I do

) what 2 or three rating rods would you NEED to take with you for canals and light reef work at this time of year?

Last time I ran into some queenies in the canals and felt a little undergunned.

A 2-4kg rod is a good allrounder for what the canals have to offer.

She's a one piece. Looking at taking a 4-7kg 2 piece in that case as well as a 1-3kg then. Thanks Nige

If your looking at a travel style rod i recommend the Daiwa Advantage 3 piece rods, i have the heavy one and it's versatile for trout through to jewies etc...

Nah not a travel style. I will be chucking it in the crates we are sending up for the show. Only needed to gauge the lineclass of the gear in needed.

I have the wildernes which is the evolution of the advantage... I think...
