A 2500 Stradic feels pretty good on this rod but it will be a heavy combo. A 2000 Daiwa is a good option. I agree with the Tierra idea, the new one with the round EVA knob.

go for a stradic c14 2500 or a stradic 1000FH. both are unbeleivable reels. i know the c14 is a bit outta ur price range but it will be worth the extra $$$ and the FH might be abit hard to find nowadays.

I got a tierra 2000 on mine now after my stradic 2500 got pinched. I want the stradic back as I like to retrieve with the rod tip above horizontal. Also i dont recall any line probs with the stradic but had/have many with the tierra fireline and true braids on both. Very nice once a year barra combo with 20lb.

I wouldnt suggest 1000 size or ci4 2500 as they would be too light to balance the rod well. You better look at any reel at least 230g.
