lovin the split grips mate. the detail and colour is awesome!
like mainevent said. specs, stats, makes and models? would love to know where you got these made or if you did it all yourself.

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments. I do all the building, marbelling of grips etc myself. I use a lot of blanks from Peter at GCCR, CTS from Gary Howard, Loomis (when they were available) as well as other places. A lot of components I get from Matagi to give a rod that extra bit of wow factor. The split grips are standard cork that I marble with paint and epoxy over, then just colour match the thread work on the guides to that. Self taught (although with the resouces available on the internet is anyone really these days?). Love building rods and do a bit of writing around the place as well. Thanks again for the comments.

lol. It sort of is now mate. Its a second job as I work in a tackle store during the day and fish when I can although it will start to get busy soon as the weather warms up and more rods have to get built. Unfortunately fishing comes last on the list then

lol, working in a tackle store in summer is no dream mate (serve 200 customers a day and then see what you want to do at the end of the day). I learnt just buy asking questions on different forums, getting books and even a video or two and just practiced, practiced, practiced. It isn't rocket science (although at times it can be when you have a difficult customer), you just have be willing to put the time in and the rewards will come.

yeah mate I do sell them just don't want to do it here as I don't want to upset the mods (if I am doing the wrong thing I'm sorry just wanted to share what I do). Most of the thread work I do for myself unless a customer wants it.
