browsing for a nice 30-60g lure thrower

just got my tax back =P

some candidates that i like the look of:
G craft fighting blue 742MH ~$700
Tenryu motion 782M ~$550
Ripple fisher aquila 72H ~$700

i guess the main criteria would be
casting 30-60g lures far
around 7-8ft
powerful blank (for kings and what not)

would you pick any of these? or something else?

Saltiga 80s if you can find one roughly $5-600 handle 10-60g lures and are a fantastic all round rod for lure fishing and light plugging. Tough as nails and rated to 10kg line.

Yes the daiwa 80s is a beautiful casting rod that is versatile and powerful. They are no longer available but another brand of rod will be released shortly that will blow you mind and fill the gap left by the 80s. I can't wait until I can tell you about them.

You can still get the 80s at quite a few shops. Have a look around.

NLA means from suppliers. I'm sure there will be a few in some shops. What happens if something goes wrong with the one you buy. Even if you get a credit there isn't one exactly the same to replace it.

I like the Ripple Fishers, good value and you can push them to the absolute limit!
I have a couple of GT rods of theirs and as light and cheaper plus fight fish just as good as any of my Smiths, Carpenters or Fishermans.
I have a Ultimo on order at the moment in some funky custom colours getting ready for my next trip in October.
