The anti-reverse has failed twice with one guy on this forum when he had a fish on causing it to wildly spin backwards

no stella users? i know they are top of the range but does any one use `em?I had the same problem as the new certate on a kix i had once, what a pain in the arse, you would go to set the hook & it would let line out, i dealt with it with a hammer!

ray & annne`s have the older stella`s at a decent price ,i`m sure they would still be great to use , what would the upgrades be on the new model , would they be justified in the full price?

I have several Exists and Steeze's in all the available sizes bar the 3000 and I cannot fault them. I do not think that the Exist's are worth the extra $$ over the Steez and I will not buy anymore unless the deals get great. A sales rep of DAIWA told me that the internals are identical anyway! Can't comment on the Stellas as all of my reels I use nowadays are DAIWA's

Go a Steez 2004 any day of the week if the cash isn't important.

I have used my latest Steez in salt since November last year and it is still as smooth as the day I bought it. Clean any reel well and have them serviced regularly and any reel will be fine in salt water.

Almost nothing, I know it is 5gm lighter and 15% dearer than a standard exist. Supposed to have been designed for fresh water / flurocarbon use (reverse taper spool to house more line at the bottom of the spool) whereas the Steez is identical to the original Exist bar the colour and the spool capacity. I wouldn't think the extra $ would make it worth the upgrade but saying that I wouldn't knock one back if I could afford it!
