4-6kg Beach Rod Suggestions

Hi all,

Bit out of the loop for the last year or so on tackle (been making a movie) so want peoples ideas on a beach rod so I can smack a few when I move to Denmark.

Specs wanted:
10-12 feet
4-6kgs
Casting weight up to 80gms (give or take)
Split grips if Possible
Up to 300 bones (again give or take a little)

Thanks in advance.

Phil

You might be able to get a Purglas built for that amount.

Nitro Sniper is 10.5 feet, 3-6kg, but no split grip, and a smidge over 300

I love my Sniper, cast a no 3 squid jig a long way however even 40 grams is pushing it in my opinion, I like the grips quite firm and thin eva.

Check out the Daiwa Seajigger 315, brought one last week, very light, cast well.
Maybe a bit heavy for you liking 17lb max line cast i believed :-).

I've got a nice pacific composites PPG bream with heat shrink grips and alconites pretty durable around the rocks with a bit of poke. 300 would go close.
Would likea nitro sniper or surf assassin though.

Phil, you own a broom don't ya, and im sure there is some rope laying around, a bit unlike you to go all hitech pal. Thought a spud gun and handline would suffice down that way

Hehehe whos the hillbilly now! You just sit on the rocks and make deacon go and spear fish for you. Maybe keep him on the end of a 100lb handline if you want to feel like your actually fishing.

over 300 but the nitro sniper is without a doubt my favorite beach rod. its not split grip but the rod itself just feels beautiful in the hands. its worth the extra $$$.

My Hillbilly partner has a spare one Neegar! Then you can use that big blue lump of metal for a sinker as well!
