Dropshotting is a style of fishing in America on which the rod is designed for.

dropshot is applied to many different rods, you got your berkley dropshot, supreme dropshots, loomis dropshots. so i was just wondering what makes them different

Bass Fishing

Dropshotting is the most common use of spinning gear in America. The technique is often employed to target bass holding mid-water. A dropshot rig consists of a weight at the end of the line and a dropper hook attached at the depth the fisherman wishes to fish his bait. Its a pretty good technique for fish holding mid-water and can often be effective for tailor as they hold mid-water. Its less commonly used for bream as they often hold on the bottom. The reason the rods are called dropshot rods is because that's what they are most commonly used for. I believe dropshot rods are designed with light tips and designed to be extremely sensitive.

Hope that helps everyone. Cheers Duncan.
