TD Sol Rods

Hi all,

Does anyone know the difference between the first sol rods that came out vs the type II sol rods (performance, components and looks)? Also, if you have a pic comparison between the two, would u mind posting them up?

Agreed. Don't like either of the rods. But series 1 was a better rod

Hey mate, i own the series 1 sol and personaly, i think that all the sol rods are super stiff rods. You can get a dozen other rods that are much better quality for cheaper. Also i noticed that the series ll sols are only 299 while the first series are 369. I dunno if this is just because me overpricing or just different qualitites in rods. Cheers.

Really stiff save your self a bit of cash and get a shimano t-curve. As for comparisons they Made the whole blank orange instead of just the reel seat and accents and I think that the guides are placed differently to if not a completely different style

thanks mate.
i was looking at getting the 1-3 kg rod and pair it up with a 2000 sol ill be getting next month.
i might be better off getting a $99 1-3 kg trion by the sounds of things :P

I've already got a 2-5 kg trion tournie but would like a lighter rod for the 2000 sol.

thanks again all. if you have any other recommendations for under $200, please let me know!

Look I know it's 80 bucks more but I'd seriously look at the t curves awesome rods just soo sensitive you can feel a paddle tale plastic working through the blank it's insane

are you guys talking about the T-Curve T or the T-Curve Flights? Whats the diff between the two? The T Series seems to have alot more range.

Hey man,

I own the series 2 model in the 10-20lb model and straight away, even for its weight. It is way too stiff then it should be IMO. Considering the fact, Im still yet to give it a whirl.
hth's,
