Where are you guys buying your sols????
$200 would be nice if you can get it. I have a daiwa infeet loaded with 4lb fluoro and love it. They can be realistically found for $200.

Are you willing to sell yours to him for $200 smartar$e. If he is looking second hand there are no sol's for sale at the moment for $200 or less.
Give the guy info that is useful. He can walk out and buy the reel I suggested new, with warranty and do it tomorrow if he has the cash ready. Your option he has to wait for someone to sell a reel second hand. It may seem like I am having a go at you, that is because I am. But I am also having a go at the people when offer unrealistic suggestions to people that ultimately don't help at all. I haven't had enough coffee today yet. I hope you get a good reel. I recommend buying new and getting a warranty plus the service you get with a tackle store. But if you are keen to wait for second hand, there was a luvias for sale not long ago for $200. It went quick but if you can wait you can do well. Wait but act quick.

Oh and before you ponit out the 2500 sol combo for sale for $300. I don't think that a 2500 reel is the right option for straight through fluoro, especially 4lb straight through. 7kg of drag and 4lb fluoro does not equate to me.

There a couple of brand new SOL's on Ebay for $249 + 18 bucks postage!!!
If you can stretch a few extra dollars, it would be worth it. But a Tierra is also a good option. I just so happen to have a tierra 2000 that has been used just the once. You can make me an offer if your interested! |

nice rant ross i actually agree with you,
however it was mentioned that there were sols on ebay, steer clear of them, buy from a shop... you can get new caldias for around 220 if your lucky... daiwa infeet 2000 would be good if ur running fluro otherwise tierra 2000 preferences in that order cheers brimiagay his point was fair...

Can't sorry. I am cranky.
Woke up thinking it was Friday, turns out that's not the case. EPHunt's reel would be a good option for fluoro fishing they have good drag (2kg is heaps for fluoro fishing) and would make a great backup reel, the guy looks after his gear and as stated has only been used once.
