Question new Emeraldas

has anyone had the chance to use these or read any reviews on them? i was looking at getting one of the new certates but i'm now looking at slightly cheaper options.
any help would be very much appreciated.

luckily you are. it's got hyper digi gears. it's built off the luvias body i'm pretty sure with hyper internals and a couple more bearings. so theoretically it should be a more blinged and harder wearing luvias which is really what i am hoping.

Yeah man I had a feel of it about 2 weeks ago its quiet like the Luvius though I think its a bit smoother then the Luvi. bad luck it only comes in one size ... but yeah i had the dilemma from picking new certate or steez then dropped to emeraldas, luvis , ci4 thought the ci4 was the one but i had a feel of it and it wasnt for me... in the end i bought a new Luvis DA 2000 i love it ^^ ( just bought it yesterday and tested yesterday)

If you are looking to buy the Emeraldas then I consider you to take a look at the Luvis DA too youll save a bit of money which you can buy some braid to spool it with

Thats sick, if your after a 25xx and don't want the expense/weight of the new certate then I would go one for sure. An actual upgrade from a luvi. Got me keen to have a suss of them...

I've heard from others that the emmas are designed for Japanese style egging and therefore carry stronger gearing due to the voilent action the japs use to impart action on the jigs.

that's good then because that would just make for a more durable and harder wearing reel which in turn would make it last longer, would it not?
not forgetting they also look amazing...

I'm not a fan of the looks but I'm a big fan of the hyper digi. Will keep them tighter for so much longer than standard gearing like in the normal luvi's.

The air spool and handle are other plusses too that will actually make the reel nicer to use. Really really like what daiwa have done with this, hope they are as good in the metal as they seem on paper. As usual doubt funds will permit getting one though haha

I may be wrong.
But Im pretty sure I read somewhere that the Emeraldas was designed for Egi fishing.
Or doesn't the outcome matters what the reel is desined for?
