HB's on a budget

Hey BM folks, well last week I lost my HB lure case that had in excess of 150$ worth of lures in it, so now I have to start from scratch and I have extremely limited funds.

All I had left at home was a black & gold kokoda sprog and went and got myself a brown trout scorpion 35 yesterday, so was just wondering the best range of hardbodys (and the best colours) around 10-15$ i can get.

Thanks in advance,
George.

Try Strike pro Pygmys II and Small Fry II for that price.

Also, keep an eye on Breammaster sales forums, some lures go cheap there.

Another alternative is plastics if you on the budget

Cheers,
Alex

DohDohDoh has damiki mus for $10 each as a special atm. You might also be able to get a special on Atomic hardz - 2 for $25. Anaconda seems to have a costant sale on Mojiko lures and I've never used them or see myself using them soon but it is alleged that the mojiko lures are made in the same factory as River2Sea.
Of course, the lure packs that come on in the classifieds here as best value.
Hate it when you lose a pack of lures. Had it happen to me in my early days. Its not so much the value of the lures but the effort it went into putting some of those packs together. In the early days, bream HBs were hard to come by and I had to go to several shops to get a nice pack going only to put it in my pocket, forget to zip the pocket, bend over to pick something up and out it comes and into the water. I could see it floating away with the current but had no way to retrieve it being landbased.

Agreed jakel, daiwa SC schiner's have the good's! Ive caught quite a broad range of fish on em, One thing that you may have to do to em, is replace the treble's. 10$ from anaconda's cant go wrong buddy

Personal favourites of mine that are cheap, in addition to what has been posted....... Killalure Pak Rat 45 (firetiger) and Halco Laser Pro 45, river 2 sea baby cranks and r2sea static shad/fingerling shad sp.

The stiffy lures i have work well, some have said there are quality issues but i have done ok on them to date and they all swim straight, i just had to downsize the hooks on the fat ones a little.

Mick.

I've used the Cultiva Mira Shad's lately and they do well in the Swan if that's where you are mainly fishing. Cast a mile too. Can get them for about $12.

Other than that if you look carefully enough on ebay you can find sx40's for $12.70 plus postage. The more you buy the cheaper it gets cos the shipping doesn't really go up as the package weight only increases by 5 grams at a time or something.

They're $19 up here, thats a awesome price for that lure.
Also try some Halco scorpions RMG 35mm Deep/sneaky in "firetiger" they both work well for the price.
