What reel to suit a steez tornado?

Hi all

I'm looking for a reel to suit the steez tornado rod?
i have had a stella 2500 and a airity 2000 on it but to me it doesn,t cast as well as i had hope.I think due to a smaller stripper guide on the rod
i also got a stradic 1000 to use,It cast alot better but the reel was to small for my liking(i think).

Is there others out there that have a steez tornado and what reel are you running?

my thoughts where maybe, daiwa exist 1003,stella 1000fd,steez 2004 (maybe),exist 2004.phhh i have no idea

PS-as for shimano-v-daiwa i sit on the fence and have a hand either side of that fence.

The steez 2004 would match nicely.
My thoughts.

i would go a steez 2004 or 2508.

those rods are made to accept 25's and if you were using braid then a smaller stripper guide wont be that much of a hinderence. flouro tends to coil than braid so if the reels you played with on it were spooled with flouro (or maybe fairly used braid) then that could contribute to the loss of distance.

if not, then a 2000 to 2500 size daiwa is going to cast as good as anything, so thats the distance that you are going to get regardless of reel choice.

The Luvito is just a heavy, blinged up Luvias and is wayyy overpriced IMO

steez 2508 is a match made in heaven for that rod. i just put mine together today. spool her up with 6lb daiwa sensor braid and off you go, ready for anythin, bream, bass, flatties.
i'm a bit of the opposite. i always get the reel first then match the rod to it. anyone do the same?
anyway, enjoy and good luck with your quest.

cheers

if its a steez rod, it should match well with a steez reel, you'd reckon.

thanks all for the ideas

youd think the steez would match a steez rod but the tornado is a brown blank

i was thinking of a 2508 ex/branz also.

mm still undecided but more swayed to the daiwa side
