Question Which reel..??

She who controls the purse strings is letting me by more fishing gear..
I am undecided between
Okuma epix efs-20
Okuma inspira is-20
Shimano Stradic st2000fg

decisions decisions
Which one do you think I should go for..
It will be used for tossing soft plastics around.. all day..

I will be matching it with a Shimamo 7ft Squidgy rod

Stradic, but make sure it's the FH not FG, and make sure you get for at least the fantastic price of $230 that we are doing it for in the online store for the next two weeks...

Hehehehehe.

Warren.

Ive got a couple of Epixs - fantastic but the weight gets annoying real quick. So yeah the Stradic for sure, way lighter, and theres no comparison in the way it lays line on the spool (so square its scary). Would be my first choice by a mile, in fact theres one on my shopping list at the moment. And $230 from BM is a real baragin.

cheers

Yesterday I was comparing the Epix 20 with the Shimano Ultegra and there was no comparisom with the smoothness. The Ultegra was so smoooth, much more so than even my Team Daiwa 2000, so I'll be getting one as a second reel for sure. Price, about $270 or thereabouts. Have a look at one if you can.

G`Day Daryl,

Yeah I agree it all comes down to weight really.
The Epix 20 comes in at around 11 oz,
The Inspira which really does sound like a nice reel, althought hard to come across wieghs 9 oz in size 15,
And the Stradic 1000 FH (external fluid drive) weighs in at 7.9 oz,

The more you use it, the lighter you`ll wish it was, its certainly what Ive found, my Epix20 is still awesome, but its now one of the last reels I put on any of my rods, simply because of the weight factor.

Cheers

Re: the Shimano Ultegra Have a look here, they are not the the .com.au site yet but they're definately in the country.

http://fishing.shimano.com.sg/spl/en...w_ultegra.html

I'm have no association with Shimano, just an anglers interest in products.

Bing Bong...Price check aisle 9...

Daryl, the FG is the old model. FH is the new model. Any FG's left should be under $200.

Warren.
