Rovex leader?

Hey guys, did a bit of a search but couldn't find anything relevant.

Has anyone used the Rovex brand leader from Kmart? Looks to be made or distributed by Jarvis Walker according to the fine print.

It's available in 4lb to 12lb I think and is full fluorocarbon, but a spool of it costs around $10, less for the smaller weights.

Any comments appreciated.

hey Timmy,

I got mine from compleat angler, didnt realise it was at K mart for so cheap.

I used it in 8lb and was pretty happy with it, didnt get to use it for a long period of time as I kept getting snags in the area I was using it and pretty much went through a spool, however it was good for abrasion resistance and held up great against some good 35cm+ fish. It also held up even greater against the snags, just couldnt break the darn thing!

Fantastic! I might have to drop past and grab some.

Mind you, Kmart never had the size I was after. 4lb or 6lb.

i've used it a few times (cos it's cheap) but since having a few bust offs - not due to knots, the actual line broke, i've stopped using it.

the difference in price between Rovex and the Linesystem i'm using now is minimal. and when you've got a $20 lure on the end of it, you may as well use quality stuff.

I went and bought some today. 6lb 20m spool for $7. Definitely Fluorocarbon.

Will report back in and see how it goes. The most expensive lure I have is around $11 so hopefully nothing too drastic!
